Richard Jackson Ltd provided civil, structural and geotechnical services for this project in Norwich comprising a main 25 metre pool, leaner pool, fitness suite and dance studio with other community facilities.
A complex arrangement of plant rooms is accommodated within a labyrinth reinforced concrete sub structure. Displacement auger piles penetrate a shallow fill and peat overburden.
The design team went to considerable lengths to help to counter the effects of potential ground settlements in excess of 100mm.
