The initial phase of the work has included making the structure safe ahead of first phase debris removal to allow the highway to be re-opened. Glenn Cattermole is leading the Richard Jackson team on this project and said that they are working to make the building safe and get the hoardings moved as quickly as possible so that the street can be re-opened and any disruption to local businesses minimised.
This is a complex project and we will soon be looking towards reinstatement of the buildings. The business was also heavily involved in the emergency structural work following the fire at Cupola House in Bury St Edmunds and were instrumental in ensuring the partial retention of the grade 1 listed facade of the building.
