Richard Jackson Ltd has recently been using water level data loggers in order to fulfil LLFA requirements for three complete infiltration tests to BRE365 standards.
Combined with the installation of gravel and standpipes, the infiltration test pits can be left safe and as data loggers provide a constant measurement of the fall in water level, there is no need for full-time supervision by an engineer. Overall this is a safe, accurate and efficient means of obtaining infiltration rates for the design of sustainable drainage features.
