Structural Surveys

Ranging from non-intrusive visual inspections which may be undertaken for the purposes of assessing the structural condition and determining if further investigation is necessary through to full structural investigations which may include non-destructive and destructive testing, level or verticality surveys, ground investigations and monitoring to establish movement patterns.

Damp and Condensation

Dampness as a result of escape of water, flooding, water ingress, damp proof course failure or as a result of condensation, Richard Jackson Ltd are able to undertake investigations to identify the cause/source and recommend solutions to remove its presence and repair any damage caused.

Condition Surveys

A visual and / or intrusive record of the condition which can be tailored to suit your needs. The records can be scheduled for repair or party wall awards, used for planned maintenance purposes or stock purchase. When combined with a desk top study advice on future risks can be given.

Concrete

From single concrete elements of a building through to concrete framed structures including prefabricated housing, Richard Jackson Ltd specialise in the diagnosis of concrete defects and specification of the repairs.

Insurance Claims

Richard Jackson Ltd are experts in the investigation and repair of damage as a result of an insured peril, and are able to manage the claim including liaising with your insurers / loss adjusters commencing at initial inspection to ascertain if a claim exists through to completion of the repairs. We employ claims handlers and operate a claims management protocol ensuring your claim is progressed in a timely manner.

Adaptions and New Build

Richard Jackson Ltd are able to provide professional services in connection with alterations and new development, such as Flood Risk Assessments, Site Waste Management Plans, geotechnical reports, infrastructure and structural design and site supervision. This includes minor structural alterations, construction of single units through to multistorey construction. We are also able to provide Party Wall surveying services and CDM coordinator services.

Drainage and External Works

Richard Jackson Ltd are able to assess the condition of external paved areas and provide advice on their likely performance and sustainability, along with recommending remedial measures to ensure their continued longevity. Drainage surveys can also be undertaken to investigate their adequacy, allowing problems to be identified and to allow recommendations to be made for their repair.
