Remediation of the site was undertaken as part of the brownfield redevelopment, which involved the firm determining gas protection measures and undertaking validation testing.

The scheme also involved extensive Section 278 works to upgrade the adjacent public highway, which incorporated design and specification of signalised junctions. The structures were supported on piled foundations and consisted of steel framed structures designed to maximise the retail area.
