The rail network forms part of the largest transportation investment in the country. Greater Anglia the train operator in East Anglia, successfully retained the franchise until 2025. As part of their investment, they have announced over 1,000 new carriages for users.
The new rolling stock for Greater Anglia will need maintenance and the operator had been trying to source a new location in Harwich to complete these operations. Richard Jackson Ltd have been working with Epsilon Design Engineers, part of the Cairn Cross (Group) Ltd, and have been instrumental in providing supporting documentation for the delivery of the Train Maintenance Depot which was granted planning permission in June 2019.
