White Rose Park is the development name for the proposed housing on the Royal Norwich Golf Course, Hellesdon, being promoted by Persimmon Homes (Anglia). We are pleased to see the first key pieces of infrastructure built for the access into Phase One, which was designed by Norfolk County Council based on the conceptual designs contained within the Transport Assessment, produced by ourselves, which gained Persimmon Homes planning permission.
As well the preliminary design work for the access, we are now actively involved with the on-site infrastructure design for Phase One, of approximately 90 dwellings.
Our key conceptual design included the provision of the right turn lane and upgrade of the footway on the northern side to a fantastic footway/cycleway. The improved pedestrian and cycle facilities, provide a massive benefit for those in Hellesdon, choosing more sustainable travel modes from Middletons Lane to Asda, especially students and users of the Hellesdon High School. Additional items, such as the bus stop lay-by were added by NCC, also providing further alternative travel options.
We are pleased to continue our involvement in the scheme, by providing technical design and expertise for Phase One and beyond.
